Learn about various financial and donor management software programs for nonprofit organizations at this seminar. Fund E-Z offers 'real' nonprofit accounting (www.fundez.com/) including self-balancing funds plus direct and indirect cost allocations. QuickBooks (www.quickbooks.com) offers ease of use and the flexibility to handle business tasks like rental management and product sales, and has numerous add-on products such as GiftWorks to meet almost any need. Wayne will demonstrate the work-a-rounds required for nonprofit grant management in QuickBooks side-by-side as Kelly demonstrates Fund E-Z’s true fund accounting features.

Beyond the Numbers: Using QuickBooks to Run Your Business
For businesses using QuickBooks, Wayne Higdon will present ideas to help you go beyond basic bookkeeping. Topics will include tips such as four critical reports, understanding your financials, managing customers and vendors, and writing letters from QuickBooks. In your choice of break-out sessions for product-based or service-based  companies, a team of QuickBooks experts will demonstrate features for either inventory sales or job costing. Add-on software will also be discussed, including packages that sync with MS Outlook, initiate UPS/FedEx mailings, print labels, manage customer correspondence, and scan documents into QuickBooks. During an optional third hour some of these products will be demonstrated.

This seminar is designed for intermediate QuickBooks users.  It may also serve anyone considering switching to QuickBooks from another package (or from spreadsheets and Post-It notes).  [It is important to understand that you will not learn step-by-step in these seminars; instead we'll help you with the 'big picture'.]
